The Amaryllis Elvas has large, double white flowers with red blushes and a thin red edge. This winter flowering plant stands on sturdy, long stems of approximately 60 to 80 cm. This amaryllis is elegant and striking, which makes it ideal as a houseplant, but also for use in festive flower arrangements, especially during the winter months. Because these flowers bloom in the winter, they are also perfect as a Christmas gift.

Amaryllis, also known as Hippeastrum, are elegant and long-lasting flowers that are easy to grow and care for. Plant the amaryllis bulb in a well-draining potting soil mix, leaving the top of the bulb exposed. Use a pot with a hole in the bottom for drainage. Then place it in a bright spot at room temperature. Water the bulb sparingly until a green bud appears. Once this appears, the bulb needs more water. It takes about six to eight weeks for Amaryllis Elvas to bloom.
