Amaryllis Picotee 30/32
The Amaryllis Picotee is a classic amaryllis with bright white flowers and an apple green heart. A special detail of this flower is the thin red edge that runs around the white leaves. The flowers are large, trumpet-shaped and grow on sturdy, high stems. They usually bloom in winter or early spring. This amaryllis is very suitable for growing in a pot or as a cut flower in a festive flower arrangement. Because these flowers bloom in winter, they also make an excellent Christmas gift.
Amaryllis, also known as Hippeastrum, are elegant and long-lasting flowers that are easy to grow and care for. Plant the amaryllis bulb in well-draining potting soil mix, leaving the top of the bulb exposed. Use a pot with a hole in the bottom for drainage. Then place it in a bright spot at room temperature. Water the bulb sparingly until a green bud appears. Once this appears, the bulb needs more water. It takes about six to eight weeks for Amaryllis Picotee to bloom.
